Sweet Potato Recipe
This Pennsylvania Dutch sweet potato recipe is simple but delicious.
- 6 Sweet potatoes -- washed
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 cup Packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/4 cups Hot water
Cut pared potatoes in crosswise slices about 1/2 inch thick. Arrange
in 2
qt casserole and add the mixture of remaining ingredients. Cover
tightly
and bake 350° for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer
or until
potatoes tender. An old Pennsylvania Dutch recipe for a simple but delicious
dish.
