Green Beans in Wine Sauce

Sherry or white wine help to flavor these tangy green beans.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups green beans, cooked
  • 3 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry or dry white wine

    Instructions:

    Saute bacon and onion. Add sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and sherry. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour over hot beans; serve.
    Serves 6 to 8.
