Greek-Style Skillet Rib Eye

Greek olives and feta cheese, along with the seasoning blend, give these steaks great flavor. Serve these steaks with baked potatoes and a salad or fresh sliced tomatoes and cukes.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes Ingredients:

  • 2 rib eye steaks 1-inch thickness, about 8 ounces each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Greek olives
Seasoning Blend: Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

    Instructions:

    Combine seasonings and press on both sides of beef. In nonstick skillet heat the olive oil over medium heat until hot.

    Cook steaks in skillet, turning once, about 10 to 15 minutes total for medium rare (about 145° on an instant read thermometer). Sprinkle with lemon juice. Sprinkle with feta and olives just before serving.

    Serves 2.
