Creole Hot Sauce

  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) tomatoes, crushed
  • 3 hot chile peppers, finely chop
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • Salt to taste





Combine all ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes; stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Chill sauce. Serve with meat loaf, ham or pork, sausage, eggs, hot dogs, and other sandwiches.
Serves 6.
