Sweet Potato Casserole

This delicious sweet potato casserole is made with a buttery brown sugar and pecan topping. Serve this sweet potato casserole with ham, pork chops, or a Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Topping Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

    Instructions:

    Butter a 2-quart baking dish. Heat oven to 350°.

    Mix the mashed sweet potatoes with the granulated sugar, milk, 1/2 cup of melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Spoon into the prepared baking dish.

    Mix topping ingredients together until well blended. Sprinkle over the potatoes and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Serves 4 to 6.
