Easy Fancy Green Beans
Bacon and chopped onion help to dress up these canned green beans.
- 3 slices bacon, diced
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cans (approx. 15 ounces each) cut green beans with liquid
- dash freshly ground black pepper
Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until lightly browned, turning frequently; add onion and cook until onion is just tender. Add the green beans with liquid and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 45 minutes. Add pepper.
Serve with a slotted spoon or drain before serving.
Serves 6.
