Chocolate Meringue Cookies

  • 2 egg whites
  • dash salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate pieces, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts







Beat egg whites with salt, vinegar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in melted chocolate and chopped pecans. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased or silicone mat-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen chocolate meringue cookies.
