Cookie Crust Pie Pastry

A cookie-type of pie pastry for a cream pie, chocolate pie, or use your favorite filling.
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup flour







With a fork, stir the butter or margarine to soften; mix in the sugar and egg yolk. Using a pastry blender, gradually mix in 1 cup flour until crumbs form. Press into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 400° for about 10 minutes, or until edge is browned. Cool and fill with chocolate pudding filling, a cream cheese and fruit filling, or your own favorite.
