Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Easy and delicious mashed sweet potatoes with butter, milk, and a little nutmeg.
- 8 medium sweet potatoes
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2/3 cup milk or half-and-half
- freshly ground nutmeg
Boil sweet potatoes for 2 to 25 minutes, until tender. Drain and peel. Mash well with the butter, salt, and milk. Beat until light and fluffy. Sprinkle with freshly ground nutmeg before serving. Serves 6 to 8.
