San Marco Steak
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds Chuck steak 1-inch thick, cut in serving-size pieces
- 1 teaspoons Oregano
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
Instructions:
In large skillet, arrange meat, cover with onion soup mix, add
tomatoes then sprinkle with oregano, garlic, pepper, oil and vinegar. Simmer
covered 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
This dish can also be cooked in the crockpot. Simmer 3-4 hours.
Simmered steak recipe serves 4.
