San Marco Steak

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds Chuck steak 1-inch thick, cut in serving-size pieces
  • 1 teaspoons Oregano
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar

    Instructions:



    In large skillet, arrange meat, cover with onion soup mix, add tomatoes then sprinkle with oregano, garlic, pepper, oil and vinegar. Simmer covered 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
    This dish can also be cooked in the crockpot. Simmer 3-4 hours. Simmered steak recipe serves 4.
