Korean Barbecue Beef

This easy Korean beef marinates in a sesame marinade for 2 hours before stir frying. Feel free to cook this beef on the grill or under the broiler. Serve with fried rice or a noodle dish for a great Asian style meal.

Prep Time: 8 minutes
Marinate: 2 hours
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Total Time: 2 hours 16 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • peanut oil for frying

    Instructions:



    Slice beef into 1/8-inch thick strips. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, pepper, green onions, rice wine, and sugar in shallow glass bowl. Add beef. Marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours.

    Add a little peanut oil to the wok, heat over hight heat, and stir fry the beef for about 5 minutes or until beef is browned.

    Serves 4.
