Apple Glazed Beef Brisket

This beef brisket is glazed with apple jelly, brown mustard, and other ingredients.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 3 hours 30 minutes
Total Time: 3 hours 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 beef brisket, about 5 pounds
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, halved
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1 (10oz) jar apple jelly
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon curry powder

    Instructions:



    Place brisket, onion, garlic and cloves in a large heavy saucepan. Add water and cover. Simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until beef is tender. Drain.

    Preheat oven to 325°. Combine apple jelly, mustard, green onions, salt, pepper and curry powder in small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Place drained beef in baking dish. Brush with the apple jelly mixture. Bake for 45 minutes, basting frequently with the apple jelly mixture.
