Skillet Ground Beef and Noodles
Corn, sliced olives, cheese, and tomato sauce give flavor to this tasty ground beef and noodle casserole.
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 small can corn, undrained (8 ounces)
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup sliced ripe olives
- 4 ounces noodles, uncooked
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
Cook and stir ground beef, onion, and green pepper in a large skillet until the meat is
browned. Drain off the excess fat. Stir in undrained corn and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the
noodles are tender, about 20 minutes. Serve hot. Serves 4
