Pork Chops Braised In White Wine

These simple pork chops from Harlowe are cooked with a little white wine and anise seed, along with chopped garlic. Serve these pork chops with potatoes or rice and green beans for a delicious family meal.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Pork Chops With 1/4 inch fat on outside 1 inch thick
  • 1 tsp Chopped garlic
  • Dash salt & pepper
  • 1/8 tsp anise seed
  • 1/2-1 cup white wine
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions:

Salt & pepper pork chops. Pour 1 tsp of olive oil in coverable fry pan; sear pork chops on both sides. Remove chops; drain fat. Pour white wine in pan; add all other ingrediants and stir. Add pork chops; cover and cook on simmer then check after 20 minutes for doneness. Add more wine if needed. Chops are done just after pinkness disappears from pork - do not overcook.
