Easy Cherry Leaf Pickles

  • 1-1/3 c sugar
  • 1 c water
  • 1/2 c white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cloves, whole
  • 32 oz jar dill pickles

Drain the juice from the pickles and throw away, I use the midget size dill pickles.

Cut pickles into chunks and return to the jar.

Heat together the sugar, water and vinegar till it comes to a boil, boil till liquid is clear.

Pour the liquid over the pickles, and add the cloves.

Cool and refrigerate. Leave for a few days for flavor to penetrate. They become more flavorful with age.

These do not last long in our house!!!!
