Crockpot Barbecue Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 frying chicken, cut up or quartered, about 3 1/2 pounds parts
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. sweet basil
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
Instructions:
Place chicken in slow cooking pot. Combine all other ingredients
and pour over chicken. Cover tightly and cook at "low" for 6 to 8
hours. makes 4 servings. Note: I cut the chicken in pieces and
place in my small roaster. I pour sauce over, cover, and place in
325 degree oven and it takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You can do 2 or 3
chickens in the roaster, in about the same amount of time, but you
need one recipe of sauce for each chicken. I layer the chicken and
pour sauce over each layer, You can also use just breast and thighs
and it turns out well.
