This cabbage casserole is easy to put together, with chopped vegetables, cabbage, apples, and ground beef.

Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium cabbage, shredded
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 350°.
In skillet, saute onion and celery in margarine 2 minutes. Add beef and
salt and stir another 2 minutes. Spread half the cabbage in 2-quart baking
dish and cover with half the apples and all the browned beef mixture. Add
remaining cabbage and apple slices. Cover tightly with foil and bake 50 to 60 minutes. Serve this cabbage and ground beef casserole with
mashed potatoes or buttered noodles.
