Poppy Seed Holiday Bread

Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/3 cups oil
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, 2 1/2 cups sugar, poppy seed,
flavorings, eggs, milk and oil in mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed
until mixed. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 5 x 9-inch loaf
pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours or until loaves test
done.
Brush hot loaves with mixture of 6 tablespoons sugar, 1/4
teaspoon almond extract, orange juice and butter.
